ఆత్మశుద్ధి లేని యాచారమది యేల
భాండ శుద్ధి లేని పాకమది యేల
చిత్త శుద్ధి లేని శివపూజ లేలరా

భావం: మనసు నిర్మలముగా లేనట్లయితే ఆచారములు పాటించడంవల్ల ప్రయోజనం లేదు. పాత్రలు శుభ్రముగాలేని వంట, మనసు స్థిరముగా లేని శివ పూజ వ్యర్థములే అవుతాయి. ఏమీ ప్రయోజనముండదు.

Inner purity means purity in thought (intention / emotion / heart), clarity in mind and sincerity in action!

Purity can be ethical self-restraint viz., non-violence, truthfulness, non-covetousness, chastity and moderation! Plus, Moral excellence in cardinal virtues - Justice, Fortitude, Temperance and Prudence!
